TOEM 2 Bean Slurp: Find the Rooftop Kiosk and Deliver It

TOEM 2 Bean Slurp guide to the rooftop coffee kiosk, the helium balloons used to reach it, and the safe route to the person who needs a pick-me-up.

Why players get stuck

Morning Battle is one of the Deltburg quests players ask about most, and almost everyone gets stuck at the same two points. First, there is a cup of slurp near the ghost, so it is natural to assume that is the item. It is not: the developer clarified that the ghost is not the tired character, and another player simply called it the "wrong slurp". Second, even after spotting the coffee kiosk on a roof, there is no obvious staircase up to it. The answer is the balloons, which surprised the player who asked: "I did not know that helium balloons were so supportive."

Find and deliver the hot drink

Talk to the tired man on the rooftop

Start Morning Battle by talking to the man on top of a building. He is half asleep and needs a coffee to get going. Remember where he is — you have to bring the drink back up to him.

Go to the back of the photo studio

Walk to the photo studio, the same building where the monkey runs the Creative Freedom photo shoot. Go around to the back of it and start climbing.

Jump across the helium balloons

From the top of the studio, jump from balloon to balloon toward the coffee kiosk. The balloons hold your weight, and they lead straight to the rooftop coffee bar.

Get the Hot Bean Slurp

Talk to the person in front of the coffee bar. They hand you a cup of Hot Bean Slurp.

Deliver it without a big drop

Carry the cup back to the tired man. Take the route down in small steps: a jump from too high spills the drink and you will need another cup.

The slurp found with the ghost is the wrong one, and the developer clarified that the ghost is not the tired character. The ghost belongs to a different quest, Locked Out. Use the rooftop kiosk for Morning Battle and deliver its hot drink without a high drop.

Things to grab on the same climb

The balloon route is worth a slow look, because a few other Deltburg objectives sit on or near it:

  • Tato Balloon critter: once you have climbed the back of the photo studio and crossed the balloons, look at the condenser unit to the left. A Tato Balloon is hiding there, and it counts toward your critter compendium.
  • A Smelly Findings item: one of the five smelly things for the smell-shop owner is a can on a roof. A player who found it described it as "the tin by the man wanting coffee", so photograph the tin while you are up with the tired man. See the Smelly Findings guide for the full list.
  • Creative Freedom: the photo studio below is where you set up a staged photo with props, put your camera on the tripod and strike a pose. It is a separate quest, but you are already at the building.

The ghost and its slurp

The ghost in Deltburg is the quest giver for Locked Out: his keys are stuck in the sewer pipes, and you get them back by going into the sewer and using your screwdriver on the pipes until the keys drop out. The slurp next to him is just scenery for this purpose. If you have been carrying the idea that the ghost needs coffee, drop it — the tired man on the rooftop is the only one who wants Bean Slurp.

Delivery tips

  • Plan the way back before you collect the drink. You will be carrying a hot cup from one rooftop to another, so look at the route first.
  • Use short hops. The quest only warns against jumping from too high; small drops are fine.
  • If it spills, go back for another cup. The coffee bar is the source, so return to it rather than searching elsewhere.
  • Check your stamps afterwards. Morning Battle adds a stamp, which helps toward the stamps you need to move on from Deltburg.
